Three tools we built, behind every build we do.

Papercuts, Decisions and Foundation are software Runpoint built and runs its own company on. We use all three on most projects, and they take the slow and risky parts out of owning your own software.

The platform removes the five problems of owning your own software.

This is the difference between hiring a consultant to start from a blank page and working with a company that brings its own software.

  1. 1

    A slow first build

Foundation is already built and tested, so a build that takes about six months from scratch takes two to three.

  2. 2

    Security and permissions

Sign-in and who can see and change each record are built and tested before we start, and we keep them up to date after launch.

  3. 3

    Moving your data

Customers, contacts, jobs, price lists and their history move into the new system as part of the build.

  4. 4

    Changes after launch

Decisions puts every change in front of the people who have to approve it, with an answer within two days.

  5. 5

    Upkeep

Before launch we choose together who keeps it running: we look after it, we train someone on your team, or we help you hire.

Papercuts finds what slows your people down and ranks it by cost.

The tool we built for discovery. Your people tell it what got in their way, and two weeks later you have a ranked plan for what to build first.

What you keep after two weeks

  • A map of how the work runs today, with its delays and costs
  • A simpler way to run it, with where AI helps and where a person decides
  • A ranked plan for what to build first

How Papercuts works

Decisions gets every plan approved within two days, before we build it.

The tool we built for approvals. The people who run each part of your company click through a working screen, comment on the exact spot, and answer, so the build never waits on feedback.

.01

A working screen, not a document

Seven rounds of documents and meetings become one review of a screen your people can click through.

.02

Comments on the exact spot

Anyone drops a pin where they mean, and the right person replies in the same thread.

.03

Every approver answers on a clock

Approve, ask for changes or decline, and everyone sees who has answered before the review closes.

How Decisions works

Foundation is the system Runpoint runs on, and the base every client build starts from.

The software we built for our own company: CRM, proposals, project plans, recruiting, finances and the weekly leadership meeting. Each client build makes it better, and the next build starts from there.

Already built and tested

Sign-in, who can see and change each record, reports and connections to your other tools work before we start.

Proven every day at Runpoint

Four connected systems run our company on it, and a proposal that took two days now takes about an hour.

Your records come with you

Customers, contacts, jobs and price lists move over as part of the build, and we time the switch to your renewal date.

One fixed fee, yours to keep

We set it up for your company for one fixed fee you pay once, with no license fee. The code for your workflows and your data are yours, and the rest is yours to keep and change.

You own your code. We keep the platform.

  1. 1

The code for your workflows is yours

Once it is paid for, your company owns the code we write for the way it works. It is yours outright.

  2. 2

Your copy of the platform is yours to keep

You can use it, change it, host it anywhere, hire anyone to work on it, and take it with you if you sell the company. There is no license fee, and it never expires.

  3. 3

    Your data stays yours

We use it only to do your work, never for another client, and never to train AI models.

  4. 4

    Runpoint keeps the platform

Papercuts, Decisions and Foundation stay Runpoint's, along with general improvements we make to them while building yours, never your data or anything specific to your business. That is why each build starts further ahead than the last. Your copy does not stop us from improving the platform, and we cannot take your copy back.

It's all in section 5 of our Master Services Agreement.

Runpoint runs on this platform, and so do the companies we have built for.

Every build starts from software we have already built, tested and use every day, and each client build makes the platform better. These numbers are the ones each client approved for us to share.
